THE FUTURE OF SYDNEY ON DISPLAY
Quay Quarter Tower — amp capital
Danish architect 3XN’s Quay Quarter Towers (QQT) will be the most significant piece of architecture in Sydney since the Opera House. Designed as a ‘village in the sky’, the development needed the commercial tower’s human-centred design values — where the needs of workers are at the heart — translated into a display suite to reflect these revolutionary qualities of the building. A sales brochure also accompanied.
3XN’S QQT IS AN ICON OF CHANGE SIGNIFYING THE FUTURE OF THE WORK PLACE WHICH GLOBALLY IS SHIFTING CONFIDENTLY TOWARDS BEING MORE HUMAN, FLEXIBLE AND IMAGINATIVE.
Having delivered the Quay Quarter Sydney (QQS) brand, we created an environmental design for QQT’s display suite that embodied 3XN’s architectural design.
A RIGOROUS STRATEGIC PHASE INFORMED BY THE QQS WORK, POSITIONS QQT AS THE ACTIVATOR SET TO CHANGE HOW WE WORK, BRINGING A SENSE OF HUMANITY TO THE OFFICE TOWER.
Strategically transitioning from the needs of developers to the needs of workers; from exclusive to inclusive; from corporate to creative - the display suite design identified the revolutionary qualities of the building as a “vertical village” and articulated 3XN’s aspirations for QQT with a focus on the needs of the individual.
BY DESIGNING EVERYTHING AROUND REAL HUMAN NEEDS, INTERACTING WITH QQT WILL BE SEAMLESS AND INTUITIVE.
Community spiritedness, design intelligence and reinvention are key values that we explored and consciously built into the suite’s physical space to make the experience accessible, creative and authentic. The display suite is designed to anticipate positive interaction with the QQT brand and intends to convey that amazing ideas and creativity will result from collaborations that happen within QQT.
