ICONIC VEHICLE MOTIF A POWERFUL DESIGN IDEA

The design for OzHarvest’s 2014 Annual Report needed to leverage a decade of brand building that has impressively impacted the organisation’s ability to affect social change. Our challenge was to build in a sense of fun while staying true to the ethos of waste reduction that is at the heart of OzHarvest’s mission.

To keep consumer awareness of the growing food rescue industry top of mind, we reframed how we wanted OzHarvest’s financial reporting to be presented. Partnering with us since 2012, OzHarvest’s fleet of black and yellow trucks have become instantly recognisable, and have become directly associated with the organisation’s enormous and positive community contribution.

A VEHICLE FOR OZHARVEST’S STORY

The ‘vehicle’ motif for the OzHarvest story is a clever and effective execution of the organisation’s visual identity. The Annual Report uses bold typography to highlight the key themes of the year; infographics to convey significant data and inspirational quotes to tell the OzHarvest story from diverse perspectives giving a tangible, human face to the brand.

OzHarvest’s 2014 Annual Report gives more than the stats. It offers key insights into a brand that is celebrated as the pioneer of the food rescue industry and is a marketing asset designed as a book that you are compelled to keep and pass on. Created with a strong sense of playfulness, this important corporate collateral attracted a Silver Trophy in the Annual Reports category of AWARD.
